Meat & Seafood

The Co-op’s meat and seafood department is the only one in Bellingham that offers all-natural and/or organic meats and only wild salmon. Our meat vendors use no steroids, antibiotics, GMOs, or animal by-products in their feeds. The animals are pasture raised and the independent family-run farms are ethical stewards of the environment. Processed meats such as sausages contain no MSG, nitrates, or nitrites. Our vendors include Sara-Joe’s Organic Pork Products, Oregon’s Umpqua Valley Lamb, Diestel Turkeys, and Oregon Country Beef, among others. See our list of meat, poultry, and seafood vendors.

The Co-op is also dedicated to bringing you the best selection of local seafood—whether fresh, smoked, or frozen at sea. You’ll find the freshest salmon, halibut, and other locally caught seafood from mussels to clams. Watch for fresh seafood as it is in season—especially our northwest local salmon.

The meat and seafood department staff also creates scrumptious prepared selections for you to cook at home. You’ll find anything from Sun-dried Tomato Pesto Chicken, Gouda-Stuffed Pork Roast, Chicken Fajita, Jerk Pork Chops, or Carne Asada. The selection is always changing.
